August Farm Day on the Youth Village Campus, volunteer farmers come and educate the young men about agriculture and ranching.
An hour, a day, a weekend a month – every minute you can give provides experience with a positive role model and supportive adult interaction to change young men’s lives and makes a real difference in the Dallas community. Whether you prefer working with youth or with dedicated adults assisting with events, fundraising or other needs, we have volunteer opportunities in various areas of interest:
Mentoring: One on one mentoring. Serve as friends and role models for youth at Medlock or the Youth Village. These young men need a positive role model in their life! click for more information
Tutoring: Help residential students one-on-one to improve math and reading skills. You can tutor in the area of job applications, job interviewing skills, computer skills, culinary arts, and many more areas.
Recreation: Participate in weekend activities with the residents at Youth Village. Please call or check schedule for exact times.
Field Trips: Accompany residents on field trips to provide assistance and supervision.
